Artist's Comments
Meet 15 yr old half-vampire Darren Shan (right) and Snake-boy Evra Von (left-doh!). They are characters from my favorite vampire adventure books, "Cirque de freak" by Darren Shan (his name is similar to the main Character but they're not the same person in the story).
here's a peek at what's going in the world of Darren shan: In the way Mr. Darren put it, the myths are only half-true. Crosses, garlic or holy water - none matter to vampires. They can cross running water. They don't have to be invited into a house before entering. They cast shadows and reflections (though a vampire can't be photographed - something to do with bouncing atoms). They can't shapeshift or fly. More of his own therioes include: A stake through the heart will kill a vampire. But so will a well-placed bullet or fire, or heavy falling object. They're harder to kill than humans, but aren't immortal. Unfortunately, the Art isn't mine so i'm not going to claim anything. They belong to two girls, Zoo and Ume from Thailand (original [link]), who made this fanart for Mr. Shan himself. I was so fascinated in the lineart, so i just tried coloring for fun. i'll be drawing my own fanart soon too, after i finish my July Project tho. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
