APR. Whoa looky that~! The cat lives. I’m terribly sorry guys. I know I’ve been “dead” for so long now. The days come and tire me to death. No more of that, I shall tell you a little story..

The last few weeks, the first actually, we gave importance to a special someone, who has no idea how many people care and love her despite her immature and stubborn persona. Dear grandma had turned 80 on Apr.04. You probably wouldn’t even think of celebrating something big at that age. You wouldn’t even think such an old person could take it. You would just think of a little family dinner. You would just think of giving her a nice knitted scarf or a complete series of her favorite novel. This was actually all she wanted to do on her birthday, or so she told us. She said she didn’t want to have a big party. But she was gentle with it. She did not scream or demand. Maybe that was her mistake, because her children and grandkids took after her immaturity and stubbornness. We did exactly the opposite!

Planning the program was hectic! She knew there was going to be a party. She gave up trying to stop us. But what she didn’t know is what we planned to do. My aunt was putting every effort in making it work. She hired me as her partner-in-crime and I have never been so busy in my life. She was amazing! She even got her brothers, my dad included, to perform something in the program. And we, in the family, all know it takes a hundred elephants jumping over the moon to convince the men to.

Grandma’s birthday went on.. not perfectly though, due to some technical errors (then again, that always happens). Nevertheless, the dance went well, our fashion show (in grandma’s old dresses) and our daddies singing shocked the crowd, music talents from families abroad (my 13 year old cousin played 3 of Mozart’s best pieces.. without a book) amazed everyone even more! So eventually, it was a success! *phew*

Now my only problem is work. Since we’ve started on our new Holiday collection, it’s going to be a tight schedule for me again. I try not to think a lot about it while I’m at home. It’s best not to bring the trouble where your mind is at peace.

With my folks back abroad, I finally got my bedroom back. I had to stay in Grandma’s old room while my folks conquered my only big bedroom. I’ve missed the smell of fresh air through my windows. I spent the whole next day cleaning the stuff mom and dad left, arranging the boxes above my closets, dusting my dirty old fan, boxing my books (new and old) and making my bed.. where I now lie with new covers, thinking of the fun times when my parents were here for vacation. It was important that I, together with my brothers, spent every day with them as much as possible.

And then, at night I would absently think of my empty love-life. Although I’ve enjoyed being single for a year now, I kept recalling what my little brother said to me one night. “You can’t love being single forever.” I know he’s right. Even now, I’ve missed loving someone. I’m not posting this to tell you guys how lonely and pathetic I’ve become. I’ve known people who are 50 and still single. They tell me they are happy, that they enjoy single-life. But you see it in their eyes, they long for someone. Who doesn’t? All I’m saying is, don’t only open your hearts but also open your eyes. Look deep. Be careful. Don’t play with feelings. Mom always told me to use the head, then the heart. My past relationships ended coz’ I have done the opposite. It’s not a problem following what you feel. But when the same thing happens all over again, you’ll learn it doesn’t do you any good.

So my friends, Be careful to whom you give your heart to. Because when you do, you give them the power to hurt you. A guy just confessed his feelings to me a few weeks ago. I was happy at first. I knew he was a good friend. But when he demanded things I couldn’t understand, I saw that power and I didn’t like it. So I told him off. Good thing I promised him nothing. I thanked him for being honest and that he would be better off than to waste his efforts on me. After this episode, I realized something terrible.. I’m starting to fear love. Are they all this scary? Or am I just attracting the wrong men? How can I make them stop? Gah I swear if they start to freak me out I’m turning lesb-!!

ooh I wasn’t gonna say that.. I am NOT gonna say that. Ah let’s see.. Kasai Power Enter!! (Nobuta wo produce) Konkon!. Hoee that’s better haha~!
